Emad Shuman

Emad Shuman, an Afro-Tuscan-Lebanese, was born and raised in Sierra Leone, where he lived until he was twenty. Of Lebanese descent, he has lived in Tuscany for over forty years. A cultural and linguistic mediator, he has described himself as a “singer by chance” since 1997. Since 2007, he has been known as the vocalist for the Arezzo Multiethnic Orchestra (OMA) and the group Kabila (“the tribe” in Arabic), for which he writes the Arabic lyrics and some melodies, creating a musical dialogue between the two shores of the Mediterranean.
