Claudia Fauzia is a Sicilian economist, activist, and writer, an expert in gender studies, and a consultant specializing in diversity and inclusion. She is known for her commitment to promoting “Southern feminism,” an approach that combines feminist issues with the Southern question and the alliance of the marginalized. She works at the intersection of the digital world and the local community through training, communication, and social innovation projects, and is the founder of Zagara. She has published essays and fiction on Sicilian identity and intersectional feminism, including Femminismo terrone. For an Alliance of the Margins (Edizioni Tlon, 2024) and the novel With the Sea Within (De Agostini, 2025). She received the Rosa Parks Award (2022) and the Susan Treadwell Memorial Award (2024).
