{"id":1058,"date":"2026-04-08T21:37:58","date_gmt":"2026-04-08T19:37:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/festival.cospe.org\/ospiti\/cecilia-sala\/"},"modified":"2026-05-07T12:40:16","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T10:40:16","slug":"cecilia-sala","status":"publish","type":"ospiti","link":"https:\/\/festival.cospe.org\/en\/ospiti\/cecilia-sala\/","title":{"rendered":"Cecilia Sala"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Born in 1995, she began working as a correspondent while still a student, first for <em>Vice Italia<\/em> and later for <em>Rai2 <\/em>and <em>Rai3<\/em>.<br\/> <br\/><br\/>She has written reports from abroad, particularly from Latin American countries and the Middle East, for <em>Il Foglio<\/em>, <em>L\u2019Espresso<\/em>, and <em>Vanity Fair<\/em>.<br\/><br\/>In 2020, the podcast \u201cPolvere\u201d was released, created by Cecilia Sala and Chiara Lalli for <em>Huffington Post Italia<\/em>. It was an eight-episode investigative series on the Marta Russo murder case. Within a few months, \u201cPolvere\u201d became one of Italy\u2019s most-listened-to podcasts (over one million listens), and the investigation was turned into a book published by Mondadori Strade Blu: <em>Polvere. The Marta Russo Case.<\/em>  <br\/><br\/>In 2021, Cecilia Sala reported for Il Foglio, live from Kabul, on Afghanistan\u2019s fall to the Taliban and the dangerous evacuations of the international contingent.
