RECLAIM is a plural, open, and generative verb.<\/strong> It indicates a necessary and collective action: bringing back to the center what has been taken away, marginalized, or denied. This is why it&#8217;s the title of the first edition of the COSPE Festival, taking place in <strong>Florence, Bologna, Cape Town, and Cali<\/strong> on May 22 and 23, 2026. <\/p>\n\n<p>A pilot edition born in a <strong>historical period of profound uncertainty<\/strong>, where fundamental rights are violated at every latitude, where international law is ignored and supplanted by the law of the strongest and the bombs of new colonial wars; a time when non-conforming identities and bodies are denied, threatened, or unrecognized by unfair and obscurantist laws; a time when the planet is offended by <strong>growing extractivist and capitalist violence<\/strong>; a time when the space for dissent is shrinking and narrowing in every square and every context. <\/p>\n\n<p>In these times<strong>, the Festival aims to be a shared space for speech, imagination, and action.<\/strong> A place to collectively claim a different destiny, to take back space and voice, to claim rights and identities, and where we can finally try to recover what they want us to believe is lost or compromised. <strong>The starting point is the peripheries<\/strong>\u2014geographical, political, social\u2014not as margins, but <strong>as places for producing visions, practices, and the future.<\/strong> <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To claim, to take back, to recover.
