Anarkikka

Anarkikka, the pseudonym of Stefania Spanò, is a feminist activist, illustrator, cartoonist, andhas been engaged in social advocacy for over ten years on women’s rights and against gender-based violence. Through her ironic and biting cartoons, she addresses discrimination, stereotypes, and inequality, with a focus on women. Since 2009, she has brought travelling exhibitions such as Unchildren, È nata donna, Violenza assistita, Non chiamatelo raptus, and Smettetela di farci la festa throughout Italy and Europe. She collaborates with organisations, associations, unions, and institutions, creating socialercials, posters, and educational projects for schools. Among her main collaborations: CGIL Nazionale, CNF, COOP, Differenza Donna, ANPI, Einaudi, Il Sole 24 Ore, and ASSIST. She has created campaigns against harassment, violence, and stereotypes in the workplace, education, sports, and healthcare, often distributed on a large scale ( campaigns, communications, supermarkets, pharmacies, buses). In 2021, she published her first book, Smettetela di farci la festa (People), followed in 2024 by Non chiamatelo raptus.

Among other works, she has illustrated books by Michela Murgia (Stai zitta) and designed covers for essays on violence and rights. In 2022, she received the Differenza Donna Award for her contribution to feminism and women’s freedom. In 2024, she was awarded the Cambiare Prize for her social commitment. She is a founding member of the Associazione Diritti d’Autore, which promotes rights through art.
