Yousef Hamdouna, a Palestinian born in Gaza in 1981. He is the project manager for the Italian NGO EducAid in the Middle East. For the past 20 years, he has been involved in humanitarian and development work in Palestine, particularly in the areas of inclusive education and the rights of people with disabilities. He returned to Italy on a work assignment two weeks before October 7, 2023, and has been stranded there ever since.
